The Kempinski hotel is the first building which has been implemented in the so-called neutral zone of the airport which represents a counter point to the technical area of the airport – the human being is supposed to be the focus here and feel well. The landscape design is based on a concept which has been set up for an “airport in the green”. Inside and outside are considered to build a unit. The gardens are unique spaces, divided into different grids, which relate directly to the architecture of the hotel but also to the surroundings and the airport. Elements of the styles of a classical garden and relationships with Modern Movement can be re-discovered there, setting up references to the Bavarian castles by their arrangement.
