The new BMW branch in Berlin at Kaiserdamm is – as industrial use – architecturally in a subtle way integrated into the urban context. The open space design concept serves for binding the built form with its parts and sections almost completely by a broad-striped-pattern of surface design, connecting to the car-parking area in the front and thus making it perceivable for employees and visitors as a unit of use within the city. Large-centryn trees flank the three sides of the site differently; the car-parking area gains value from tree-planting as well.
